Hybrid Cements

Custom Solutions for Diverse Infrastructure Needs

Vortex Companies is proud to offer our range of in-house designed and third-party tested hybrid cements, crafted to meet the diverse needs of any project. Our hybrid cements, including AluminaLiner® and QM-1s Restore®, are engineered to provide superior performance, especially in environments requiring high corrosion resistance and structural integrity.

Ideal Usage Scenarios for Hybrid Cements:

  • Sewer Rehabilitation: Effective in preventing corrosion and reinforcing structural integrity in aging sewer systems.
  • Wastewater Treatment Structures: Ideal for manholes, lift stations, and wet wells requiring enhanced durability and corrosion resistance.
  • High-Corrosion Environments: Best used where high levels of hydrogen sulfide or other corrosive gases are present.

Our hybrid cements are not only versatile but also offer a range of application methods including spin-cast, spray gun, or trowel application, allowing for up to two inches of coverage in a single coat. With properties such as freeze-thaw resistance, high strengths, and low permeability, Vortex’s hybrid cements are the perfect choice for maintaining and enhancing infrastructure longevity and functionality.

AluminaLiner®

AluminaLiner® is a factory-blended, one-component, fiber-reinforced, 100% calcium aluminate cement, designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance against typical hydrogen sulfide gas (microbiologically induced) corrosion, add structural integrity and stop groundwater infiltration in sewer structures with a pH of 2 or greater.

Vertical and overhead repairs to concrete or masonry sewer structures such as manholes, wet wells, pipe and treatment plant structures where corrosion is a problem.

QM-1s Restore®

QM-1s Restore® is a Portland cement based, single-component, high-strength, fiber-reinforced, shrinkage-compensated cement mortar enhanced with a monocrystalline quartz aggregate.

Vertical and overhead repairs to concrete or masonry sewer manholes, wet wells, metal pipes, water treatment facilities, tunnels, navigation locks, and dams.

Parson CA Liner 100

Parson CA Liner 100 is a robust, high-strength, micro silica-enhanced calcium aluminate cements designed for the rehabilitation and protection of wastewater structures like manholes, lift stations, and wet wells. Both products provide superior corrosion resistance against hydrogen sulfide, enhance structural integrity, and ensure long-lasting durability. The CA Liner 100 offers additional protection with its pure-fused formulation, making it ideal for environments facing extreme corrosive challenges.

Parson MH Liner

Parson MH Liner is a high-strength, fiber-reinforced, Portland Cement based, microsilica-enhanced mortar for use in rehabilitating manholes, lift stations, wet wells and other wastewater structures.

  • Cost–effective alternative to replacement
  • Stops infiltration and exfiltration
  • Restores structural integrity
