Vortex Companies Bolsters UK Services Business to Enhance Project Delivery with Acquisition of Torrent Drainage Services
Experienced trenchless rehabilitation team expands Vortex-owned McAllister Group’s field capabilities as the UK water sector enters a major infrastructure investment and delivery cycle
(Houston, TX – September 30, 2026) – Vortex Companies (Vortex), a leading global provider of trenchless water and sewer infrastructure rehabilitation solutions, today announced the acquisition of the business and operating assets of Torrent Drainage Services Limited (Torrent), a UK-based trenchless rehabilitation contractor. The addition expands the field resources and technical capabilities of McAllister, a Vortex company, strengthening Vortex’s ability to execute rehabilitation projects across the UK.

Torrent provides cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, patch installations and repairs, sewer cleaning and CCTV inspection, and robotic lateral reinstatement. Its team has worked alongside McAllister on rehabilitation projects in the UK, providing Vortex with an established base of operational experience on which to build.

Torrent’s operations will become part of McAllister, increasing its capacity to self-perform trenchless rehabilitation work and extending its field resources in the UK. The combination is designed to improve coordination from project planning through execution while giving customers access to a broader base of trenchless expertise, equipment and technical support.
